My Tweet Deets

I had alot of fun with this info graphic design. Mostly, it was to showcase different information I found out about my Twitter from one week of observation. Funny enough, we were only asked to display one type of info graphic but I ended up asking the professor about all these different designs I had planned and sketched out.

I wanted him to give me advice on which ONE design to choose and work on but him being cool said,

"I want you to go ahead and do all of them."
Of course I was like

But then after thinking about it I was more like

And so it worked out.  :D

Voting's Over!

I'm so tired from doing this comic, you have no idea. I love the way this one ended up, I havent done a really long one in a while, plus the end, in my opinion, is cute. :D Plus, that little "trick" I did, was something I was thinking about for days. Nonsensical? Maybe. Cool effect? Definitely.

Hope you enjoy it and Vote!

Everything's Sore!

I need more friends....
I'll be submitting this to my school newspaper, let's see how that goes.
So damn tired from this weekend. It's like moving back into school is always such a tiring process but when the person helping you is pregnant (and lazy... JK) and your friends are still home, you tend to feel bad asking for help, especially when you know you won't get it. I mean, what's the big deal about a pregnant woman lifting heavy luggage, doesn't she have the power of two people?

Fake Fact: Pregnant women can FIGHT CRIME.

Real Fact: She might not be pregnant...
:D

To all the new and old followers:
Thanks for joining!
Hope you like what I do and comment.
I love reading what you have to say.

Devil May Cry: Dante's Twin

Happy Birthday Ellison.
"Dante: You want a date? Well, forget it. Because I make a point not to go out with women who shoot me in the head! "

This is an art request for my lil bro(for sho) Ellison. He talked to me about wanting a drawing (mostly cuz its all I can afford as a broke college student) of Dante from Devil May Cry. Instead, I decided to ignore what he said and make him take the place of Dante. Sure, I made him look a lil older, sure its not right to draw my younger brother holding two guns and a sword on his back, but c'mon, its his birthday, and I don't give a fuck its not your birthday(Thank you 50Cent... Curtis Jackson for the snappy line). I wish I could've done better with the face but I did my best as of now so next case.
Let me know what you think!

My current obsession?
I have been in Rhode Island for close to two weeks now trying to get a job that I thought was guaranteed (it wasn't) so in the mean time, I've been watching a lot of The Office. I really understand why this show is so awesome. It's hilarious in its outlining office pranks and situations, especially thanks to Steve Carell who's really over-the-top funny. If I EVER worked at a business that sells paper, I'd like to believe that it'd be just like this...or else I'd paper-slash my wrists out of boredom.

I've honestly gone through 3 seasons in this short amount of time so you best believe its awesome, definitely check it out.

Now you're caught up on what I've been up to so how about you keep me entertained by commenting. Please don't leave me to my own imagination. I'm soooo bored. Ah well, time to draw I guess.

SavePoints: Pre-Emptive Attack.

Hey, first time in a while I update in nearly a week. :D
I like how this came out and took my friend's advice on working on it more. I liked the idea when I came up with it but it looks so "copy & paste" that it might turn people off. It was fun to do this though and now I gotta concentrate on all those art requests I promised to deliver. I'll be posting them up one at a time, as soon as I finish them.

(W&W #2) Chris Katana Is A Horrible Title

If you don't know who I was referring to in the title, its Chris Kattan... this guy:
He's the much less funny one on the left.

So why the horrible yet catchy title? Because it's time for the second installment of...
Weapons & Wielders #2

...and this one happens to be about the type of swords called Katanas. How can you tell I'm excited? If I stand up right now, someone would probably tell me to sit back down and put that thing away. Understand yet? I'm joking of course...

Took me a while to actually come up with these designs, its a bitch not being able to work on it whenever since I can only access the program in that lab. This class is like that freshman girl who sexually teases the crap out of you and then tells you she's waiting til marriage for sex and only wanted to play around. Do I sound bitter? You should hear the guy who this actually happened to.

Moving on, this is what I first thought to make it look like:

Wooden Style Katana

Guess I wanted to be traditional, being my first sword and all...

Handle:

For the ladies who like them long and skinny ;)

The Hand-guard:
I don't envy the person who'd carve this in real life.

So I thought I was done but then today I decided I wanted to re-do it, make it look more bad-ass (academic term) if you will.

Here's the result:

Crimson Blade

You gotta say, that's a snazzy name for a sword. Snazzy being an uncool term for cool.

Hand-guard + Handle Combo!
Steel just looks stronger than wood. I don't know why...Plus it looks bad-ass.

And what do you do when you got two swords?

DUAL WIELD!

Awwww yeaaaaah!

That's all for this post. For your curious minds, all my info is on the right, follow me on Twitter, when life hands you lemons, you brag about how you got free lemons on Twitter.

Why Are We Scared of Heights?

Because the high-ate-us.
Now that's a horrible way of saying sorry for being on hiatus.
(in case you didn't get it.)

I've been dealing with school, life and some martial arts training
(yeah, I do it)
and have
been low on downtime between watching stuff to keep my sanity.

But yeah, I haven't gotten my hands on a scanner but I'm definitely going to this weekend and will post up some stuff next week of my drawings. But of course I wont leave without actually posting some stuff up. I know as soon as you look at this, you'll know I'm obsessed.

I've been working with 3D Studio Max, a 3D animating and creating software. It's pretty cool, though took some getting used to. I mean, fucking Infinity Ward (designers of Call Of Duty games) make their games using this, so it ain't your mom and dad's email accounts, you get me? So here's the first thing I made seriously...
This is the first draft I did of the Ninguin. Honestly, its a hard program to do from a 2d drawing so cut me some slack. Lol, I know it very little resembles the original version (link here) but I tried. I refined it a lil, worked on the flippers especially. Oh, I also added makeshift sais.
Yeah, Im fucking obsessed and you're prob tired of seeing this guy by now but I couldn't help but try. And then came my favorite...

Yeah, it was basically it at this point, feathers are hard to animate, even worse to try and make move. I like this stuff so I'm trying to get better at it.
Wings are fucking hard to do, especially ones supposed to be holding a sword. And eyes are hard too but I like the sinister-osity (I create words out of nothing, I'm word God) of his eyes.
What I most like is his feathers on his head or "hair" that I tried to make look as best I could as Cloud's hair from Final Fantasy VII.

I'm working on the buster sword now, since I love that sword. I'll keep you guys posted. This was just something to wet your appetite while I get a nice two part blog going. I swear it'll be interesting. Oh! You wont be seeing these guys on the blog again, im tired of showing them and you must hate seeing them by now. IF I do an animation with them, then maybe...

Anyways, all my info's on the side, follow me,add me, comment if you'd like. I always appreciate some constructive criticism.
Time to get serious about al the projects I have in store for this and for life...which will prob make their appearance here anyway. Til next,
P3@C3

"I mean WHAT's the deal with these bees?"

"Either they're eating honey or fucking flowers for more..."
That's the best fake Seinfeld joke I could come up with in 2 mins. Jerry, look me up for more...

And with that we can smoothly segue-way into this week's post. I've been slacking off on the art requests I've been doing so this week, instead of two requests, I'm giving you one crazy motherfucking visual eye rape!
Ok, I'm joking, its honestly not that crazy but I liked the idea. My friend Bianca told me to draw her something but being the annoying indecisive girl she is, she has no idea what she wants. So I came up with using her tattoos as inspiration to do something, plus an inside joke about an old Myspace name of hers being "Queen Bee" or some crap like that. Her tattoos are of a flowery vines with the #23, a dragon and japanese kanji character for the word "queen".
Enough explaining, on with the drawings!

This is the basic pencil outline.
The dragon looked horrible in the beginning.
...So did her boobs.

Ok, finished inked product.
I don't know whether I can really call her a Queen Bee.
But dammit, I liked doing this with no references.
At all!...ok just 1.
I hope I get the "Queen" part across with having the crown hover over her head and the lil bee minions following her. I mean, what bee wouldn't follow her, with a stinger like that ;) Some bee fan-service right there. "You're welcome bees. Now whenever you see my enemies, you know what to do..."
Next week's is my friend Eli's request and it'll be something silly to play around with...silly being the most innocent word I've probably used on this blog...a lil proud of that. OH! I attended Art club again this week and it made for some interesting poses but I ducked out early cuz of life responsibilities so I only had time for 3 poses and 1/5th of a face.

She stood still which is amazing to say, counts as a skill.
I feel I maybe shouldn't post the drawings of naked people on here but uh, I won't stop til someone says so. Let me know if its boring or whatnot. I prefer you be offended then bored. That's just me... Joking.

Ok, so to finish up, if you're new, click that follow button on the side so you can get updates on whenever I post up a new blog. Plus it helps my blog look cooler with more lil thumbnails of people on the side. Add me on Facebook or Myspace if you want and follow my Twitter. I might not tweet every 5 seconds but I'll try to humor you with whatever funny truth I see in life.

Peace til next week,
Mike Suazo

Floridian Update Explosion! Part I

Yo baby, easy!...No teeth!
And with that head joke, Welcome Back!
Hello readers, or whoever is still keeping tabs on this. I'm sorry for not updating for a while now but I've been spending some time with the family, I see them twice a year so they get jealous with my time more than a porn star's conservative husband.

I've been working hard on improving my anatomy as you can tell from looking at this:
I'm a little obsessed...

Been doing some art requests but haven't wanted to submit it for fear of it sucking hard. But yeah, I tried to do some concept art for a friend of mine, Peter Sciacca, of main characters of his story "PsychopomP" (Check Peter Sciacca's Psychopomp for details.)

He didn't like the school girl look. :(
I know his left sneaker looks weird ok?! Its a process!

I did some Warcraft drawing too. Just my Night Elf Hunter about to shoot an arrow. No worries, I got that Blizzard monkey off my back and while thinking of some creatures, I made up one of my own. Oh, and I drew a tiger I had, I like how he came out but I need to work on animal anatomy.

For the WoW Fans...the girls...who am I kidding?
Creature needs to lay off the beers.

I honestly have stopped lately with the art requests just because I wanted to do some anatomy training. What do I listen to relax after a long day? Death Metal. I know it seemed obvious but I thought I should type it...and what I really have been watching is some Whose Line Is It Anyway. Damn show picks me up when I'm down.

But anyway, I'm getting back to practicing and doing art requests. I'll try to finish the next installment of this Art commission next time, but you know, I might get punched out by Tyson for one reason or another (oh that Tyson, him and his chewing habits). Crazy shit coming and I feel inspired so hopefully this lasts...for a few years.

Let me know what you think by posting a comment and check me out on whatever link you want to contact me on the sidebar.

Everything Comes to An End...

Psyche. Thought I Would give up? Really? Wow...is the game I've been playing for 3 days and have become addicted to it all over again. I'm a Lv18 Hunter and have a panther named Socrates after some asshole I know(one of my best friends :D) I've played it before but its so much better when...wait, this isn't what I came to talk about. Stop distracting me reader!

First time I wear that tie
Last time I put my elbows on a babyshower table.

So some bad and good news. First off, I'm in Florida (Not inside the rapper Flo-Rida although I see the similarities) and can't scan in my stuff to photoshop and don't have photoshop to photoshop my photoshop-ables.(Geek tongue-twister.) Don't even have regular access to internet so you can guess I'm REALLY in the boondocks, a lil town called Kissimmee(its not a city according to me).
That's the bad news.

Good news is I've started drawing alot more with all this down-time and will hopefully do a few good enough items to post on here but as of now, I'm going on about a month and half hiatus. I know I'm not good enough to be taking these breaks and dammit if you know I don't want to but for now, whenever I get internet access, I'll post up pictures of whatever kind of cool thing I draw, this is Kigen I Draw Stuff after all...I think. Check your URL in case I have a copy-cat (which would be kind of cool and annoying at the same time).

Good or Bad news(You decide)- I'm going to go back to my roots (what's he talking about? He's Dominican, is he going to start carrying a spear?) No, not quite, if I meant that, I'd still get a sword anyway, cuz they're fucking Awesome...Moving on, I mean taking pictures of my work instead of showing the different parts. I don't know If you'll like it better but here's some whiteboard fun I had at my LOUD mother's house(seriously she won't stop screaming: "Help, help!" Jeez woman, I'll beat the fire off you as soon as I'm done with the blog! Now hush!) White board FUN!

"It's a me, Mustachio"
That's not right...

Info to find out about me (though most of you probably know me) is on the right and check out some of the videos I've been making on my Youtube account(which is a new clickable tab on the side). I'm going to leave it at that.
E-mail me sometime, I get bored:

GunDAMN Its Been a While...:D

Took me all of 2 minutes to come up with that title. Little foreshadowing and a little sexual tension...you like? I like.

Anyways, very sorry for that brief intermission. Shit, you'd think with breaks like that I'd be a big celebrity who could afford to take them. Nope, just a college student and right now, things are hectic. Finals are here, did one today and I was pretty content with it but what do you care, you're here for the drawing of the stuff that my blog dictates me to do (he's holding me hostage!...call someone...)

Back on track with the art commissions. This week, or better yet, for the past few weeks, I've been steadily working on my best friend's request. Now, if it wasn't for that title he has(OMG! BFF), I would've shut his request down without a second thought. Well, there would've been a second thought but it would've been more about violence against the requester. He asked for (like you couldn't guess) a Gundam...a fucking Gundam.(I might have to start watching my language, my grandmother hates seeing me write curses on this thing...she has to stop reding them then :D)

Those things are annoyingly tedious and I have always hated the idea of drawing something too complicated but I gave it a shot and honestly, I don't ever see myself doing one again unless they make Gundams cyborgs and that just sounds dumb so yeah, never again...unless for money. I even decided on doing Gundam Wing only because I remember picking only that character in the SNES (Super Nintendo) Gundam games and yeah, he's even harder.
I started out with a simple (yeah right) out line. Not bad took me all of 5 hours to finish it but yeah, simple...

Then I worked on school, tried not to fail anything, videos here and there and then finally did the outline in Photoshop and that took annoyingly long as well. So many lines I swear I was happy when I finished half, just so I could sleep. See?

Then after that gruesome part wa done, I felt ALOT better. Coloring was a process but it was easy enough to do. There's alot of parts to making the colors seem right and I wanted it to look a little better and to further my understanding of Photoshop so I started using the gradient tool. Nifty little thing and helped out.

I know, I know, the sword looks weird but I wanted it a little tipped and uh, yeah. I might re-touch it a little but I seriously don't want to look at this file for a while. Since it had been a while, I did a quick background that I think seems appropriate so stop teasing me... :(

There you have it. Wow, it feels great to have something new up. I had been coming back to the blog every now and then and expected to see an update from myself. A crazy idea but if it happened, then who was crazy to begin with? NOT ME!...he he.

BIG UPDATE: I started, get this: A PODCAST with my good friend Peter Sciacca called Tangent Combo. We did it a couple weeks back and only have one so far but I want to hear your thoughts. You can subscribe to it using a small button in the page so you can listen to it on "the go"(I just think its cliche to say that and wouldn't be surprised it was copyrighted byt Go-Gurt or something)
Here's the link: Tangent Combo

If you want to talk to me or e-mail me about something, I posted my e-mail on my profile and all my social networking stuff is on the sidebar...(this is a sidebar mom)--->
Follow me on Twitter if you'd like too. I may not update every hour but when I do, you best believe its going to be...kinda ok, good at best. Jk. I try to be funny, you decide if I am.
Peace
:D

Pug+logging=Plugging!

Hey wasup? I got way hammered this weekend. Tip: Liquor impedes ability to heal. Fact: My pinky reswolled up for a few hours. How weird and scary was that?!...Not too much. I'm here to announce something pretty cool and interesting and artistic. I know, not my usual post but there will be a more normal one soon but I really like this artist so bear with me.

I took an Intro to Drawing class at the "prestigious school, SUNY Purchase" (inside joke:this is how the school was referred to in a Wikipedia entry about Zoey Kravitz who left after a year) and found it very helpful. The point is, my teacher's name was Karen Ruenitz (cool last name since there's so many ways to pronounce it wrong but back to the point) and she, I found out, is a graduate student herself which is cool. She's doing an exhibition here in

which is cooler, from:

Karen Ruenitz

School Of Art & Design
MFA Graduation Exhibition '09

Cool Handout.

On View from April 20th (Right now!) til April 24th.
Reception will be held April 23rd from 5-7pm.

I don't announce people's events so you best believe she's good. She did her work on easily breakable paper because she said how she would want something she worked so hard to be seen and then be gone since thats how she sees art to be. In other words,She's bad-ass.
Check her stuff out, I got some of the goods on her work, peep it if you so desire.

They're all human-sized silhouette like figures with a twist. I'm not going to reveal too much since these pics themselves are of non finished works so def go check it out. Karen's a great artist with an affection for drawing herself wearing Addidas (hoping for a sneaker deal? jk) and has a love for fashion. She's teaching now in FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology for non-Googlers) so there's your credentials right there!

I'm too scared to draw something for many hours and then know it won't last. Guess I haven't achieved that level of appreciation for the ART concept.(I keep EVERYTHING). Til next. Expect something annoyingly difficult from me in about 2 days or less.
Art Away!

Po-Ke- Mon!

Wasup viewers, all 18 of you (much less than that im sure...sigh). I was told a few weeks ago by my girlfriend (yes girls, I'm taken and yes boys, I'm straight) to do a vulpix for her. Naturally its simple enough to draw a pokemon but then, if you know women, they tend to get more demanding. This is how her demands went.
1.Draw me a Vulpix, its my favorite.
2. Put like a forest background.
3. I want lillies in it.
4. Add something else too, don't make it so plain.
....yeah, she was very considerate with her demands(accent on this word!...jk)
So yeah, here's the raw version of the vulpix:

I kept it simple, I figured a sitting down pose was serene enough. I might post the actual paper line art if you want but I'm using Photoshop from now on until I hear someone complain. Here's the line art:

I liked how it was coming out, its kinda annoying to color a vulpix though, I thought it was pink and purple mixed but it took me a few minutes to find the right blend. Colored version go!:

Alright, here's where it gets fucking tricky and time consuming. This is the background I did after the first hour:

It took me a while to get it done just because the shadows weren't looking right, the trees weren't the right color, etc etcetera(no one spells it anymore). So yeah, then I knew I had to add the flowers which are annoying to draw small and decided to do the simplest thing to make the picture come together. *Ahem* "Now tell me, WHO'S THAT POKEMON?!"

"IT'S ANOTHER VULPIX!" Bet you didn't see that one coming. I noticed that no matter what I did, both Vulpix look female. So this is a kind of secret one sided lesbian crush one has for the other. Maybe they'll get together but they'll never get married, not while those opposite sex marriage laws stay in effect. C'mon Obama, make this Vulpix dreams come true.

Now that my insane non-sensical rant is over, enjoy the post. I'd like to hear about what you guys and gals think about the background and picture altogether. You know the drill and if you don't, Myspace, Twitter and Facebook on the sidebar under my summary.Drop me a line to my email if you want too:
kigenidrawstuff@gmail.com
I'm off now...on the road...
